Every year during the last week of May, and in the first week of June, the bright world of fireflies descends on earth. Lots of Fireflies can be found at Bhandardara.

So the Fireflies Festival is organized for children and all nature lovers to experience the night of light. Fireflies reside on few trees such as Terminalia Chebula, Belleric Myrobalan (Behda), country fig, java plum, and mango. If you can identify these trees in Dark then you don’t have to waste too much time looking for fireflies.
